Method® Body Body Wash 532ml Sample Review RRP £6.50

In the past I’ve often used the Method® range of household cleaning products. I like their ethos of using plant based ingredients, using recycled packaging and that the products are cruelty free. The household range is excellent and has such a good reputation, and now they have launched into body care I was interested to see if it would live up to the same standards as their cleaning products.

I was sent the Body Wash to review in ‘Pure Peace’, ‘Simply Nourish’ and ‘Daily Zen’, each one bringing it’s own benefits to not only cleanse the body but also cleanse the mind, and give a sense of well-being.

Pure Peace

Pure Peace is a tranquil blend on ‘Sweet Peony’, ‘Rose Water’ and ‘Pink Sea Salt’. The creamy, scented Body Wash is ideal for anyone who wants to shut the bathroom door, and just wallow in waters, whilst dreaming of a delicately scented garden. It’s a feminine fragrance, uplifting and not overpowering and total escapism from our busy world.

Sweet Peony extract helps strengthen the skin and holds in moisturiser, whilst Rose Water acts as an astringent, so helps clear the skin of excess oil. Pink Sea Salt reduces inflammation and helps balance the skin’s natural PH levels.

Daily Zen

This uplifting and refreshing blend is ideal for the start of the day or after a gym session. It smells fresh, clean and is ideal for both men and women. It’s a sporty, clean fragrance and has many ingredients that help detoxify the skin. Ideal if you suffer from blackheads and preventing breakouts. Ideal if you’re feeling sluggish and need a revitalising shower!  My 15 year old son has already nabbed this for himself!

It’s a head clearer with ingredients such as Cucumber, refreshing and acts as an astringent and toner to tighten pores. Seaweed Extract that helps tighten and improve skin tone texture, as well as being high in Vitamin C. Finally Green Tea, often used in skincare to help calm inflammation and redness, as well as controlling excess oil levels.

Simply Nourish

My favourite (although I like all them), is the Simply Nourish. A cocooning and nurturing shower gel that leaves skin feeling soft and moisturised. It smells creamy, slightly sweet and actually very similar to my Elemis Nourishing Body Wash that costs a small fortune!

Having been of poor health recently and on top of that breaking my toe today, I am definitely in need of some ‘Take Care’. This is the ideal body wash for those who’ve been a little down, need some pampering and TLC.

Ingredients such as Shea Butter really help to moisturise dry skin types, whilst it contains fatty acids that protect the skin from harsh weather elements. It also contains Rice Milk and Coconut, both known for their intense moisturising and soothing properties. Ideal if you suffer with inflammation, redness and chapped skin.

The lather from all of these is frothy, light but doesn’t strip away the natural oils of the skin. Many body products contain harsh ingredients that leave skin feeling dry, whereas these don’t. The huge 532ml bottle lasts ages, as you only need a small amount on a body puff to lather up your body. They make fantastic Christmas presents, Secret Santa gifts too.
