GLEAM Shampoo Bars

I'm lucky enough that I do get some wonderful samples sent to test for review, and whilst I don't get paid and I'm not affiliated with a brand, there are times when like now I think it's definitely worth it.

Made in the UK (Ascot), these shampoo bars £6 from Gleam are definitely one of those 'I can't wait to test' products. Firstly the fragrance. I am a huge fan of shampoos that smell amazing. I like a shampoo to leave my hair smelling like it's been washed, rather than just not smelling.

The bars themselves come in a variety of formulas. Here I've been sent Classic Shine - for sleekness and shine; Man Bar 5 in 1 (hair, body, face, shave and moisturise) and Enhance - to revive and uplift your hair.

The Classic Shine smells utterly divine and after wracking my memory senses, I can now safely say it smells of the perfume Opium by Yves Saint Laurent. The Man Bar is a neutral, creamy coconut and vanilla scent, whilst the Enhance is refreshing lemon. They lather up beautifully, and as plastic free, vegan and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) free,  make excellent gifts as suitable for everyone.

You can purchase them at Amazon or on their websitewww.gleamcosmetics.com

Smile Makers THE POET Air Pulse Clitoral Stimulator

My mum just called me, she left me a message asking what I was up to. Now if we all spoke the truth I would've said 'hi mum, Fred's on his Xbox, eldest is catching up on Love Island oh and I'm reviewing a clitoral stimulator'. Safe to say I just said 'writing up some reviews, will speak later'.

When Smile Makers pinged into my inbox for review, I actually thought it was a tooth whitening brand. Reading through the first two lines on e-mail, it became apparent that this little device wouldn't be making my teeth gleam, but rather my nether regions. Not normally one to review intimate products (although I have written up on the benefits of semen and a 'sex box subscription'), I thought it would make a change from skincare!

As a single parent with limited time and my youngest having just had an emergency operation, there is little time left for me - if any. I'm not going to write about the amazing orgasms this device gives but what I will say is that it worked, with little noise and in about 90 seconds flat. Literally.

The Poet is the first of it's kind (as far as I am aware) to use air pulse as its USP in clitoral stimulators. It is shaped like a diamond egg, with a point at one end and interchangeable diamond shape pieces on the other. It is suppose to evoke a rosebud and well rosebud or not it is certainly very pleasant.

The design is meant to be held on the clitoris so that the air pulsing gently teases and captivates your vulva and clitoris into a small suction. There are different size 'mouths' to get the perfect fit for you. There are 5 different pulsation modes, from a constant humming to more 'rhythmatic' beats, which are named 'quiver, climax, spiral, heartbeat and cha cha cha! To further intensify the experience simply press the sides together for a full on mind blowing sensation.

The kit also comes with a charger, so no need for batteries and it also comes with Generous Gel lubricant - ideal if menopausal, need a little help moistening up and you want to combine with an internal vibrator or your partner!

The cost of the gadget comes in at a rather expensive £119.99 but is worth every penny. If you are a busy mum, short on time, exhausted but just want to make sure everything still works, menopausal, wanting to involve your partner then it really is money well spent. Barry M Glow Beam & Barry M Heatwave Bronzers

Barry M bronzers have always been on my top list of must haves. I have a fond recollection of how my mother was one of the first stockists of Barry M's icon product 'Natural Dazzle', back then it came in a round loose powder format. The rep would come to our house with her briefcase full of samples and I would spend hours choosing which Barry M products my mother would sell in her shop. Natural Dazzle was one of her best sellers and this was back in the 1980s!

So I was excited to see the latest edition of bronzers. They come in a pressed compact format and in 3 wearable shades Tropical Heatwave - a lighter bronzer for pale skin tones, Island Heatwave - a medium shade and Desert Bronzer for tanned and darker skin tones. They can be used to give warmth all over the face or for some serious contouring used not only on the cheekbones but on the eyes too.  Unlike other bronzers they don't leave any glitter or shimmer trail and give a nice matte finish, perfect for the hot weather.  The packaging has been upgraded to fully recyclable and so doesn't include a mirror. As with all their products are cruelty free and vegan friendly. At £5.99 you can buy them from Superdrug or Barrym.com.

I was also sent the Glow Beam Palette £6.99. Again a very versatile palette to suit all skin tones. Use to highlight cheekbones, under the brow, on the inner corner of the eyes or just on the cupids bow. You can even apply lip balm and one of the highlighters to the centre of your lips for a fuller appearance. For sexy legs, after applying moisturiser sweep a little along the shin bones. Once again the highly pigmented colours blend seamlessly into the skin. My photo isn't the greatest here but I think you can tell just how stunning the bronze shimmer is!
