Liz Earle® Christmas Gifting Collection 2023

I am so excited to bring to my readers reviews of the Liz Earle® Christmas gifting range for 2023. I have been very lucky in that I’ve received both the 12 Days of Liz Earle® Beauty Advent Calendar and the Daily Revitalising Men’s Collection

Without a doubt, for me as a beauty writer Christmas is the best time for reviewing and makes writing unpaid hours absolutely worthwhile, (ironically it’s my teen and adult kids favourite time for me to write too)! It’s not just that everything is presented so beautifully (this year the packaging is so enticing), but the huge savings that make buying these gifts an investment for all year round (think birthdays etc).

12 Days of Liz Earle® Beauty Advent Calendar RRP £75

My issue when reviewing Advent Calendars it that I really don’t like to give away the element of surprise. So whereas I would usually show all the products included, I think it’s nice to leave a little to the imagination. However, the items are listed on the back of this photo and so if you don’t want to see what’s included then scroll past quickly now!

What I will tell you is that neatly packaged into this square, easy to wrap box, are 12 boxes precisely  jigsawed together. Each both contains either a full sized or travel sized best seller from Liz Earle® iconic range of botanical products. I will give you a little teaser as I do think the ingredients are picked so carefully, that it’s nice to know what’s in some of the products. Pictured below are two of the items (and that’s all you’re getting from me). The Orange Flower Hand Repair 50ml and the Smooth & Glow Exfoliating Tonic 50ml.

Orange Flower Hand Repair smells utterly divine and not only nourishes dry hands, but also conditions nails and cuticles. Ingredients include:-
  • Echinacea Purpurea Extract - hydrating, nourishing and can help with eczema.
  • Huymulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract - antibacterial and antimicrobial, this helps protect the skin against bacteria that can cause acne and inflammatory skin conditions.
  • Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Sweet Orange) Oil - a potent source of vitamin C that helps protect the hands from environmental pollution. Also helps stimulate collagen production, so the skin appears more youthful.
  • Pogostemon Cablin (Patchouli) Leaf Oil - antiseptic, anti-fungal this plant has many properties that help protect the hands from harsh elements i.e when gardening, working with water, working in extreme conditions.

The Smooth & Glow Exfoliating Tonic 50ml is ideal for those with dull, flaky skin. It gives instant radiance and provides an exfoliation without any harsh ingredients. Made with several plant and flower extracts such as:-
  • Hydrolyzed Opuntia Ficus-Indica Flower Extract - otherwise known as Prickly Pear, this ingredient helps soothe the skin and reduce inflammation. It has a cocktail of minerals including magnesium, potassium and zinc, as well as an abundance of vitamins.
  • Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Juice - often used in exfoliating products, Sea Buckthorn is ideal for dry, flaking skin. It gently resurfaces the skin without causing irritation.
  • Laminaria Digitata Extract - Brown Seaweed protects the skin and repairs sun damaged skin.
  • Malpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Juice) - another potent source of vitamin C that helps give skin radiance and protects the skin against free radicals (smoking, pollution, chemicals etc). It also boosts collagen production to help keep fine lines at bay.

Daily Revitalising Men’s Collection RRP £49

I love this collection, and whilst it is for men - I can tell you now I would probably use it for myself. It is formulated for skin that has more sebum (oil) and for tougher texture however,  I still would pinch this for myself! It’s perfect for problematic skin, such as teenage hormones, acne and weathered skin that is sensitive.

As a gift for someone special your dad, brother (if he’s nice to you), boyfriend, husband etc it’s perfect. Everything from the gifting label to the packaging has been chosen carefully. The reusable tin is ideal to stock skincare or as a ‘bits and bobs’ tin. The paper tissue paper screams luxury and quite frankly if he receives this, then he is a lucky lucky man!

Inside you will find:-
  • Face and Body Wash 200ml - with ingredients such as Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera), this helps calm inflammation and reduces redness. It’s also anti-bacterial, anti-viral and antiseptic so helps ward off bacteria and prevents infection setting in. Vetiver is naturally cooling and refreshing, whilst also helps to refine skin tone. The fragrance is uplifting, refreshing and sporty.
  • Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser for Men 100ml - The iconic Hot Cloth Cleanser is formulated for skin that is tougher and has more oil glands. This is the ideal cleanser to really give a deep cleanse and get into the deeper layers of the skin. It’s ideal for men who work around pollution, in the city, sporting etc. It has Eucalyptus which not only acts as an astringent but helps ward off nasties that cause spots and blackheads. Skin is left feeling refreshed and looking radiant.
  • 2 Pure Cotton Cloths - use to wipe off the Hot Cloth Cleanser, these make cleansing a spa pleasure. I regularly use mine after soaking in warm water to give a natural and gentle exfoliation. Not only does this method of removal get rid of every last bit of grime, but it also leaves you with a sense of well-being.
  • After-Shaving Moisturiser 50ml - A calming moisturiser that hydrates without leaving the skin feeling sticky or oily. Avocado Oil is the key ingredient that helps protect the skin and also gives skin elasticity so it appears more youthful. It’s ideal for hormonal skin, imbalances etc as also contains Borage Oil, again known to help heal and repair redness and flaky skin.
Both sets are Cruelty Free, hold the FSC stamp and use ‘carbon balanced paper’. They are available to purchase now in Boots in store and online. However, I would be quick, these sell out very quickly! Alternatively you can purchase by clicking the link HERE
