I am a huge lover of candles and whether I'm searching in my local, cheapy, home store or posh department store, I gravitate towards them over anything else. I'm always on the lookout for a fragrance that can fill my whole house and one that lifts my mood, but more than anything doesn't just fade into 'nothingness'. So many times I've smelt a candle, lit it and been left disappointed as the fragrance well, just disappears into thin air (pun intended).
So when I was sent the NEST New York candle to review, I was very excited - I don't often get candles sent to test and before even smelling the candle I could see, just from the packaging, that it was on the higher end of the candle scale - and I wasn't wrong!
Containing a blend of uplifting essential oils, the main notes are pink pomelo grapefruit, lily of the valley and coriander blossom. It exudes freshness but has an underlying spice to it, making it an ideal scent for any room of the house. I lit it in my study and turned my work place into a reviving retreat. Grapefruit is known to rejuvenate the senses and can help with tiredness, so a good scent to burn whilst working and concentration is needed! However, it's also ideal for banishing unwanted smells from cooking so a must have in the kitchen, especially if cooking fish!
The classy, discreet packaging makes the candle a universal gift for both men and women. At a hefty 230g this candle will last ages. You can view the range here at www.cultbeauty.co.uk - also worth noting that many of the items have 20% off at the moment!
